Setpoint and chamber temperatures can be easily read simultaneously via dual digital display. Controls display ramp rate, dwell time, program segment and percent output power and deliver precise temperature control for a single setpoint. Advanced self-tuning feature automatically sets best control parameters (PID values) for your thermal process. Ramp-to-setpoint feature allows programmable heat-up to setpoint temperature. Hold back feature allows operator to set a process vs. setpoint deviation temperature value. RS232 port allows for computer interface. Also includes an atmosphere port with 0.375” diameter at bottom of the back wall.

Double shell construction for low external shell temperatures and energy-efficient operation. High-temperature ceramic fiber insulation for fast heat up and thermal shock resistance. Side-swing door protects operator from excessive heat surge and swings away from furnace opening for full and easy access to chamber. Power disconnect switch cuts power when door is opened. Removable panels provide easy access to heating elements and thermocouples. Moldatherm hearthplate protects furnace from spillage and mishandling. High-volume cooling fans keep shell temperatures low and improves operation efficiency. Molybdenum disilicide heating elements reduce costly maintenance and service problems and deliver excellent chamber uniformity, fast heat-up and recovery and energy-conserving performance. Type B thermocouples provide accurate high-temperature measurement and long thermocouple life. Equipped with high limit over-temperature protection and over-temperature control in event of failure of primary control circuit (includes factory-installed, separate digital temp. controller, contractor and thermocouple).

Models 5317B49 and B54 have single segment, single setpoint programming with one ramp to setpoint. Models 5317B51 and B56 have 16 segment, 4 program programming with eight ramps and eight dwells for each program.
