Laboratory Freezers

Scientific freezers are essential to have in the lab, as they provide a controlled and low-temperature storage solution. Low temperatures offered by a laboratory freezer help preserve the integrity and viability of biological samples such as cells, tissues, enzymes, DNA and RNA proteins, and vaccines.
Low temperatures slow chemical reactions, extend the samples’ shelf life, and provide a long-term storage solution without degradation or sample loss.
Laboratory freezers can be essential for quality control and ensure storage conditions remain at the chosen level required.
Cryopreservation is also an option, as some freezers can reach ultra-low temperatures enabling the cryopreservation of cells and tissues. This option allows for long-term storage options without sample degradation.
Some benchtop freezers carry backup power in case of power outages or other emergencies. These are specially designed with additional features, including holdover alarms and monitoring systems to prevent sample loss.
