Self-recirculating system provides uniform, high resolution of RNA samples during long runs without pumps, tubes or stir bars
- Safe
- Includes EasyCastâ„¢ tray
- Produces sharper bands
- Prevents formation of pH and ionic gradients
- No assembly required
Bubbles from the heat generated during electrophoresis are collected at the cathode end of the unit and then shunted through a conduit tube to the anode end of the unit passively creating effective recirculation within the chamber. A gasketed, UV Transmissable (UVT) gel tray allows for leak-free casting in buffer chamber without taping. Two combs allow user to run one or two series of samples for sample flexibility. The integrated fluorescent rulers screened on each gel tray allow for run length comparisons.
Systems are constructed of durable acrylic for years of use. Platinum electrodes and gold-plated banana plugs resist corrosion. Electrode placement ensures a uniform electric field and clear banding. The UVT gel tray can withstand hot agarose (as high as 60°C) during casting. There are no tape, casting dams or other accessories required to cast gel. Safety interlocking lid features attached three foot long power supply leads.
Each system features the all-in-one EasyCast gel casting system which allows the gel to be cast and run in the same unit. The B3 System includes buffer chamber; SuperSafeâ„¢ Lid with attached power supply leads; EasyCast gasketed UVT gel tray; and two combs (12 and 20 well, 1.5/1.0 mm thick double sided). Gel size: 12 x 14 cm; footprint: 18 x 25 x 12 cm; running buffer volume: 1,000 mL.
The larger A5 System includes buffer chamber; SuperSafe Lid with attached power supply leads; UVT gel tray with gasketed end gates; three point leveling base; and three combs (16, 24 and 36 well, 1.5 mm thick). Gel size: 20 x 25 cm; footprint: 26 x 38 x 13 cm; running buffer volume: 2,000 mL.
