To ensure uniform temperature, a magnetic stir bar is placed in the bottom of the chamber and the blotter is placed on a magnetic stir plate during transfer. Tank electroblotters are available in two sizes.
VEP-2 MiniTank Electroblotter (4313J38)

Cold water is recirculated through the cooling base, transferring the heat from the buffer and keeping it cool. Tank style blotting chamber accepts up to four blotting cassettes (included). Platinum wire electrode configuration provides field uniformity. Unit includes blotting chamber with platinum wire electrode panels; safety interlocking lid with attached power supply leads; four blotting cassettes with foam pads; and 16 sheets of 9 x 9 cm blotting filter paper. System accommodates two gels up to 20 cm x 18.5 cm, eight gels 8 cm x 10 cm or eight gels 10 cm x 10 cm (up to four on each cassette). Cold water is circulated through the cooling module. Tank style blotting chamber accepts up to two blotting cassettes (included). Cassettes only fit one-way, assuring the correct polarity of the blot. Platinum wire electrode configuration provides field uniformity. Unit includes blotting chamber with stainless steel cathode plate; titanium anode plate; safety interlocking lid with attached power supply leads; two blotting cassettes with foam pads; and 25 sheets of 18.5 x 20 cm blotting filter paper.
