CT-500
- Temperature range 20° to 100°C
- Easy temperature setting
- Precise solid state temperature control within 0.01°C
- Multiple safety features
The top cover contains seven round holes 51 mm (2") in diameter. Each unit maintains accurate temperature control of 0.01°C within the range of 20° to 100°C, providing the temperature sensitivity required by ASTM D 445 for kinematic viscosity measurements. A cooling coil, when connected to tap water or a cooling system, permits operation below or slightly above ambient temperature. Temperature selections include: 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100°C. A solid-state control circuit provides proportional control of temperature. The sensing element for the control circuit is a stainless steel-encased thermistor. A motor-driven stirrer ensures a uniform temperature throughout the bath. The bath chamber is a cylindrical clear glass vessel 300 mm in diameter x 300 mm high. A second thermistor in the bath senses any over-temperature fault condition and removes all power from the bath until an operator resets the over-temperature limit circuit. A liquid-level control prevents the control circuit from heating the bath until the bath is filled with liquid to a safe operating level. All wetted parts of the unit are made of stainless steel or glass. The frame is fabricated from heavy aluminum and coated with a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish.
Dimensions (W x D x H, mm): 407 x 362 x 610 (16” x 14.25” x 24”). Weight: 29 kg (64 lbs.). Shipping weight: 38.5 kg (85 lbs.). Power requirements: 9726A10 is 115 to 120 V, 50/60 Hz; 9726A15 is 220 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz.
CT-518
- Glass vessel depth: 457 mm (18")
Cylindrical glass vessel is deeper than glass vessel of CT-500, allowing the use of longer viscometers such as the Cannon- Ubbelohde Four-Bulb Shear Dilution Viscometer (ten-fold dilution type). Otherwise identical to Model CT-500. Power requirements: 9726A17 is 115 to 120 V, 50/60 Hz; 9726A19 is 220 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz.
