Thomas Microplate Shakers are optimized for shaking microplates. Four position platform holds either 2 or 4 microplates, deep well blocks or microtube racks. Ideal for immunoassays and general microplate shaking, these shakers can be used in incubators,CO₂ incubators or cold rooms  (-10 to 60°C), 80% relative humidity, non-condensing environments. Microprocessor variable speed control provides consistent, uniform shaking action. Ramping feature slowly increases speed to set-point for added safety. Built-in timer with LED display will show elapsed time or, when programmed, will count down to zero and shut-off. Audible alarm will sound when time reaches zero. Triple eccentric drive coupled with permanently lubricated ball bearings and maintenance-free, brushless DC motor provides a long service life. Exterior base is constructed of cast aluminum for stability and durability. Optional 1.5-2.0 mL microtube rack attaches to platform to hold up to 70 1.5 or 2.0 mL microtubes. Tray can accommodate 1 or 2 microtube racks.  Shakers include a 92” detachable cord, 3-wire cord and plug (230V units are supplied with a Euro type plug). UL, cUL and CE marked.
