A 50-kDa protein that specifically inhibits common eukaryotic RNases
Only 25 to 40 U is required for a standard transcription reaction.
Monitored for endogenous exonuclease and endonuclease activity. Determined to be free of contaminating RNases by incubating RNA transcripts.
Applications: RNA transcription, In vitro RNA translation, RNA capping, and Any application where eukaryotic RNase contamination is a potential problem with 40 U of RNase Block Ribonuclease Inhibitor for 1 hour at 37°C and by checking for the absence of degradation.
RNase Block does not inhibit RNase H, RNase T1, T7, T3, or SP6 RNA polymerases, Taq DNA polymerase, AMV or MMLV reverse transcriptases
RNase Block Ribonuclease Inhibitor is a 50-kDa protein that specifically inhibits common eukaryotic RNases including RNase A, RNase B, and RNase C. It is a recombinant ribonuclease inhibitor derived by a molecular cloning technology that inactivates RNases by binding noncovalently to the RNase molecule.
