MGB Alert® hMPV ASR

Metapneumoviruses are an important cause of respiratory illness, that can progress to severe disease such as bronchitis or pneumonia. Risk factors for hMPV disease are age and immunosuppression.¹ The MGB Alert® hMPV primer mix ASR ^§ amplifies, while the probe mix ASR detects, nucleic acids within the polymerase subunit L gene in human metapneumovirus.
