MGB Alert® Pan Legionella ASR

Infections with Legionella (legionellosis) can lead to Legionnaire’s disease, a respiratory disease that can progress to pneumonia, or Pontiac fever, characterized primarily by fever and myalgia. People at increased risk of legionellosis are those of advanced age and the immunosuppressed.¹ The MGB Alert PAN Legionella primer mix ASR ^§ amplifies, while the probe mix ASR detects, nucleic acids within the ssrA gene of Legionella spp. ASRs are multiplex compatible with MGB Alert Legionella pneumophilia ASRs.
