MGB Alert® Legionella Pneumophila ASR

Infections with Legionella (legionellosis) can lead to Legionnaire’s disease, a respiratory disease that can progress to pneumonia, or Pontiac fever, characterized primarily by fever and myalgia. People at increased risk of legionellosis are those of advanced age and the immunosuppressed.¹ The MGB Alert Legionella pneumophila primer mix ASR^§ amplifies, while the probe mix ASR detects, nucleic acids within the mip gene of Legionella pneumophila. Products are multiplex compatible with MGB Alert Pan Legionella ASRs.
