MGB Alert® Chlamydophila Pneumoniae ASR

Chlamydia pneumoniae most commonly causes mild upper respiratory infection, including ear or sinus infection, but can also cause more severe lower respiratory infection such as bronchitis and pneumonia. People of all ages can get sick from C. pneumoniae.¹ The MGB Alert Chlamydia pneumoniae primer mix ASR^§ amplifies, while the probe mix ASR detects, nucleic acids within the major outer membrane protein gene in Chlamydia (Chlamydophila) pneumoniae.
