Immunogen: Purified recombinant Lake Victoria Marburgvirus Musoke strain glycoprotein lacking the transmembrane region (rMMGPdTM).
Description: Protein A purified mouse monoclonal antibody reactive to MMARV GP. The antibody detects GP in virus-like particles (VLP) and recombinant MMARV GP without the transmembrane region (rMMGPdTM).
Supplied: 100 µg is supplied in PBS at a concentration of 2.88 mg/mL. No preservative is added. Fetal bovine serum was used in the production of the monoclonal antibody; a small amount of bovine IgG may have copurified with the antibody upon purification with Protein A and thus may be present.
Purification: Antibody is purified using immobilized protein A.
Clonality: Monoclonal of the IgG1 isotype
Relevance: The antibody can be used for detection of MMARV GP.
Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: Assay-dependent dilution. Good detection of VLP and rGPdTM is observed with 2 µg/mL of antibody
Western Blot: Assay-dependent dilution. Internal QC demonstrates good detection when using 5C1 mAb at a use dilution of 0.5 µg/mL.
Storage: 2-3 weeks +4°C, -20°C long term.
Cross Reactivity: no cross-reactivity was observed to Zaire Ebolavirus GP (ZEBOV) or Sudan ebolavirus (SEBOV) GP expressed in virus like particles and recombinant GP protein without the transmembrane region or without the mucin-like domain. It is not known whether this antibody cross reacts with GP of Marburgvirus strains other than Musoke.
