Uppa-PROTEIN-Concentrater Kit, Micro (Thomas No. C994C97)
Protein solution as dilute as 1 ng/ml can be quantitatively concentrated by using the Universal Protein Precipitation reagent followed by solubilization and centrifugation through a Gel filtration spin column (provided). Concentrates up to 10ml of dilute protein into 100-500µL.
Protocol:
- Protein precipitation is not effected by the presence of detergents, chiaotropic, or other common laboratory agents.
- Method involves mixing protein solution with UPPA reagents which quantitatively precipitate protein.
- Precipitate is suspended in a small volume of a suspension buffer supplied with each kit.
- Protein suspension is passed through a gel filtration spin column (supplied with each kit) to remove the UPPA reagent and the concentrated protein solution is collected in a small elution volume.
