Lysing Matrix S, 2 mL tubes have clear caps and contain six 1/8" (3.175 mm) diameter stainless steel beads. Used to grind hard animal and plant tissues, bones, seeds and hair. For use on FastPrep instruments or any bead beater.
Application Notes: Metal Bead Lysing Matrix is used to break hard/brittle samples. Specialty applications include RNA and protein extraction from difficult samples, where lysis by impaction only is preferable, with minimal amounts of mechanical shearing.
